After months of looking at compact washers and dryers it got down to the Miele for us,then after much research my wife decided to go with the Splendide 2000XC vented with heated drying for space saving lol she had other things in mind.

I got lucky because the Miele set was expensive about 3k+ for the set ??? and found a brand new never used Splindide 2000XC take out from a RV delivered with everything for 400 bucks  ;D it seems to work good testing it and I can run it from the inverter

Hve a Splendide non vented, Let me know if you find another one of those vented deals Clifford...

We found a great deal on a used ASKO washer and drier. They are on the high end when new, but found a great used set. It was recommended to us by Mark Renner.

They are 240V with the drier being the main source of power as the washer is plugged into it.

We set them in our closet, side by side. Only cold water is used as the washer has a heating element in it.

They work fantastic! They are very well built and hardly feel them run when spinning. The washer has 4 shocks on the tub which absorbs the movement.

Highly recommended from one who had a Splendide non vented.

We have the Splendide vented and I put it in one of the cargo bays. Had to remove the top tip it and got it in and put the top back on. Looks good in there, just throw the clothes in get it running and shut the cargo door no noise to listen to. Vents right out the bottom of the cargo floor, drains over to the waste tank. Had no room in the main area so it went in the cargo bay.

The good thing about a Splindede is you can always get parts and service and we took that into consideration the European stuff like the Bosch we have in the house takes for ever for parts and service and it's nothing for a repair bill to cost us $400.00.We looked at ASKO they were nice but way overpriced new but I could have gotten a deal the dealer was closing and I worried to much about parts and service

We have the Splendide non vented that I've had zero problems with. It washes well, shakes the bus on high spin, but is quiet otherwise. If you dry for an hour, the clothes will be still slightly damp, then just hang them up around the bus for another hour and your done.
Now with the truck, I'm buying a Splendide vented version. Good Luck, TomC

we put the same ge apartment size washer ( front load ) and 120 volt elect dryer in the featherlite each are just less then 24" wide and deep and 33.25 " high . I stacked the dryer on 3/4" ply shelf above the washer so either one can come out with out removing both . the dryer takes about 40 -60 min . to dry a load

I looked at the propane gas dryer but did not want to go to the bigger size ? could not find a 24" gas dryer

if you go back to the first page of this post  you can see the same washer / dryer in the M C I basement . we installed the w/dryer upstairs in the featherlite

they do work very well .

Like Dave we couldn't find a 24 inch gas dryer either, that's a tough one. Whirlpool used to have a front loading washer and dryer that both ran on 110 V and the dryer was electric. We had that set in our former bus. But they no longer make them never had any problems with our old set but they sold with the bus

I had to replace the discharge pump on the ASKO washing machine. Called a place in Los Angeles, had it within 2 days. Cost was about $90.

We have had many brands over the years and this one tops the list.

You did your own service work too, since I am not into working on a friggn washer, dryer or refrigerator I call a service co.I am not saying the ASKO is a bad unit.

I have a friend here that has the ASKO commercial units in his 2 laundromats his complaint is parts, service and down time but that is commercial use.

The 2 dealers we spoke with said they great units till ASKO sold out in 2012 or 2013 and since 2014 they were problems for the dealers so they quit selling ASKO we come within a inch of buying a set FWIW.

Gary has the ASKO in his Parliment Prevost he had only minor problems with the washer like the heating element a couple of times

Our Country Coach came with a Splendide vented combo and we love it. So nice to not have to mess with campground laundromats.  might be a little slow but we think it's great. I'm sure the stackables are better but we only put 15,000 miles on the rig per year. Not like full timing.  The people we travel with usually bring their laundry over too. Works great.

I just picked up a stacked washer and dryer whirlpool hd large capacity brand new takeout units never been used for a steal @750 for the pair. Now to put them in. The washer is pretty heavy but the dryer is easy to toss around.
