All of the washer / dryer threads are 5+ years old so im asking..

I need a 24" washer / dryer preferably combo , preferably vented, unit for inside the bus, what is the most reliable option?

Thanks!

You don't want the combo unless you have plenty of time for drying the drying with moisture sucks,we went with the Maytag stack able front loader washer and dryer it's small I think it is a c7500 model I haven't installed it yet, it is what she wanted after years with a combo unit

If you have room go with stackable. We full time so it was important to my wife we had units that would equal house units. We went with Bosch and love them.

I could only find a few reviews on the Bosch and people had issues with it being a ventless dryer.

Had a friend steer me in this direction, 24" and vented dryer, anyone use one of these? > http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/GE4800FL.html?facet1=White&facet2=Electric

Looks like it is a better deal with HD for the Maytags

The Maytag got good reviews and is a vented dryer which is good! I think! If a vented dryer is used in a bus it is taking makeup air from somewhere. I wonder if you could duct outside air to it  ;D so as to not suck up all the airconditioning / heating

Buy appliance, disassemble appliance, study appliance , modify appliance , reassemble appliance with locktite. There must be a medication for that...

You sure you want to use valuable space in only a 35 footer? You could just stop at a laundromat when needed.

we looked for a all in one but after reading all the bad reviews we ended up going with apartment size washer and 120 volt dryer
I installed side by side in the middle bay on the passenger side ( used a shoe horn to get them in )

The best is if you have room for a stackable. I didn't want to sacrifice that much room. I have a Splendide combo with ventless drying. Disadvantage-it takes at least an hour to dry, uses more water (it uses cold water to wash the condensation off the warm drum) and the clothes never really dry-which means hanging them up for another hour.
In my truck I'm still going with the Splendide all in one, but with vent. It is the only combo I know of that has vented drying. Good Luck, TomC
