You can add 4104-2346 to the list. It was the first bus I converted. It was sold in 2008 and last year I received a letter from the state of Michigan that it had been abandoned. So the last place it was located was the tow co. in Clarkston Mi. I talked to them on the phone and they said they would sell it for $4-$5000.00 so I don't know where it's at now.
I also scrapped one out but I'm not positive of the vin # but I think it was 4104-4326 but can't be sure wthout the history of it.

Also on the topic of 8-speed transmissions I have a picture of one that was one of the nicest customized 4104's I've ever seen at a rally in Grand Rapids Mi in 2006. Here's a couple of links to the trans and the rally photos with the 4104 and a turbo 6-71.

Bob,

Thanks for the info. I will add both to the masterlist.

Great pics, looks like years of work to make an engine and tranny look that good.

I used to do fleet inspections in my younger years, I have never seen an engine cleaner than those pics. Even new from the factory.

Bob,

Thanks for sharing pics of that fabulous '04 with Hydrashift and 6-71 T! What a beautiful rig. I wouldn't even want to drive anything so detailed!! It is a work of art.

Still working on this project. Have run into some very rude folks when I got verbally attacked (by email).

Licking wounds. Hope to post some after Christmas.

Found a 4104 in Overland Mo. just outside the St.Louis city limits. Talked with the owner he said it is his bands tour bus.

Saw this one with my buddy this summer in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, and I made him stop and let me take these photos, lol. I talked briefly with the owners, apparently this was being used as a smoked-meat stand and is ex-Greyhound. I think they may have mentioned the year, but I've unfortunately forgotten it. I don't have any more information however and I'm not sure if you've counted this one.
