Thanks for the serial numbers, I will update my records with your information.

My last update on coach 0008, was that it was for sale.

Had no record of coach 4822 still being alive and well.

Always happy to hear about more 4104 owners.

Got a new one for you!  ;D    1957 4104-2106   bought by Badger Bus Lines in Madison Wi.  Unit # 135.    Sold by them a long time ago, and tracked down and re-bought by them a few years ago with the intention of restoring to original. Needs a lot of work but is still a seated coach. Saw it last week when we went there hoping to find out if our 5A was part of their fleet as i was told.
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.

I am still around, and after placing my ad in BCM I have 3 new VIN/SN for the list.

Had a family member pass after a short illness and have been kept busy taking care of family matters. Should have an update the beginning of July.

Scott -

PD4104-3390 was delivered new as fleet number C-2063 in April of 1958 to Central Greyhound Lines, HQ'd in Minneapolis, MN at the time.  This was during the period when 'Hound had the enviable reputation of having the BEST preventative maintenance program of any commercial carrier, long before the hot dog salesman took over and ruined the company.  Back then they kept their buses ten years - until after the summer peak season - and then they'd be sold off to second-tier operators or private individuals.  Thus up until late 1968, this coach had good maintenance.  Once it left Greyhound's fleet, who knows. . .

If the deal goes thru as planned, you'll be able to truthfully tell folk you live in a "jen-u-wine" retired Greyhound Bus!

Life is short drink the good wine first

So if the title says 1960 then I might have a problem?

Scott -

Yes, it was delivered new in April of 1958, according to the GMC Parlor Car Delivery Roster I have right in front of me.

Provided, of course, that you posted the correct VIN.

Some subsequent owner after Greyhound screwed up the title, and the current seller may be unaware (or may not).

If you think there will be a problem getting it registered back in Saint Louie, for a $25 donation order a copy of the GMC "Final Vehicle Record" from the Museum of Transportation in Ohio to verify it's origin w/ the DMV and insurance folk.

Not the end of the world if it's the coach you really want.

I'm planning on buying 4963 in a day or two as a parts donor.  It is currently drivable, but the clutch is going.  I'm inclined to swap parts out and keep it as a rough ugly stepsister.  It's a conversion with pretty nice exterior.  I really don't need two buses, but hate the thought of scrapping her.  Might choose to modify into an infield coach with a roof deck and on tap draft.

Are you using the serial number that is on the builders plate?
Check the serial number in the steering compartment under the drivers seat it's stamped in large letters and numbers on the vertical structure looking straight in the compartment.
If both numbers match or don't match just go with what the title states.
Don't try to unconfused the folks in you state tag and title office.
Good luck.
