I read an article last week that a lot of liberal fans and funds dumping their stock over his takeover of Twitter and cleaning it up. Included comments of outraged owners that are now selling their Teslas and will never have anything to do with Musk anymore. A few called him a Maga cronies. Go figure.

Musk doesn't care everything he touches turns into money sooner are later, poor guy is down to only 66 billion dollars now,I don't do twitter but read where he has a poll going asking if people want him to step down no big deal to him, he opened the can of worms he did what he set out to do,I don't get polls even if he steps down he still owns Twitter and going to name his successor lol all a rich man's game,Twitter stock is up 25% if he sold he would just have more billions than he paid for it, the guy is sharp

If nothing else Musk can print headlines and get attention. That poll did tell Musk to pack his bags. He is a brilliant guy, we'll see if he uses this as an escape route out of the mess at Twitter. I don't necessarily believe that as he has never run from a fight before.
BACK TO HYDROGENnew details to me on Oregon's latest on kicking ICE to the curb. This transition off gas is now a train rolling full speed. No more if, it is just a matter when!

Hydrogen could just become a player, at least in some states.

EV's have a long way to go only making up 6 % of new car sales, car makers are not going to overlook the other 94%.I read a article that said Telsa is the owner and the other car makers are just paying rent in the EV market

That is only for now. Tesla ain't  going to be like apple. The other mfgrs are going to eat its market share over the next several years. People still have their go to brands, and are styling conscious. Just like the modelT.
Musk is smart to start unloading stock.

I don't how many Tesla's he is selling but he is up to 3000 units a week in Texas I was told,he has everything in place it will be a while before he is dethroned ,I doubt the other makers even have service centers yet much less  a 10th of the charging stations he has in place

Won't  be too long. We are about to be deluged with electric vehicles from every mfgr in the next few years. Like Prius, Tesla styling is getting old in the tooth except for the leg humpers.

They are going to need better charging for people to charge at home, our friend says it takes about 90 hrs to charge his Tesla at home with 110 volts that is almost 4 days and he runs into the peak rate here in AZ for 4 days and cries about it after spending a 100 k on a car lol he drives for 2 days and charges for 4 days he wants a new way to charge but everything needs approval for his HOA they won't approve solar in his HOA

they'll start approving this stuff once they figure out how to carve out their bonanza via fees.

Now that we are (FINALLY!) entering a new styling cycle hopefully things will change. Less fugly EVs are coming to market and will be more attractive (obviously) to the buyers.

Car makers can be so damned stupid. Apparently they will never learn that people prefer to buy what they like the looks of rather than being told what looks good. And this monkey see monkey do mentality is just the absolute worst. Once upon a time domestic car makers had their own unique styles and people appreciated that and voted with their dollars. Now you can just throw you money in any direction at all and get exactly the same thing. Which is FUGLY!

At least Lincoln and Cadillac are beginning to show some uniqueness. I can't say they are pretty just yet. I think the Lincoln definitely has the edge there, but it's a very welcome change from all the ugliness of the past several decades.

Does he have a garage? All he needs a 240V NEAM 14-50 outlet installed and the charger that came with the car can refill a totally empty car in six to seven hours. You can also tell the car to charge at 1AM if you have time of day billing.

The subdivision he lives in has to approve everything and the permit application he has been waiting 7 months to install his charger , you need approval to plant a tree in that place and they tell where.Sometimes when he wants a fast charge he drives to Whole Foods (Amazon) and plugs in and pays a fee they will give you 1 hour in off peak times

Fuel cell electric truck performance matches diesel in Toyota, Kenworth test

December 15, 2022 7 By JULIE CAMPBELL
The ZANZEFF "Shore to Store" project showed the vehicles can be used the same way, emission-free.
Toyota Motor North America and the Kenworth Truck Company recently announced that they have used testing to show that fuel cell electric truck performance can match that of equivalent diesel-powered vehicles.

Their test involved the capabilities of jointly designed zero carbon emission heavy-duty Class 8 FCEVs.
The companies jointly designed the fuel cell electric truck and tested it as a zero-emission replacement for diesel-powered trucks. The vehicles were used as a part of the operations at the Zero- and Near-Zero Emissions Freight Facilities (ZANZEFF) "Shore to Shore" project which took place at the Port of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Basin and the Inland Empire...

Key words "can match". That means "don't match yet but we remain hopeful" which means "the test was utter shite but we can fudge things a bit and keep our funding".

If the tests exceeded current capabilities you know darned well they'd be shouting it from the rooftops.
