On our trip across country already at Hover Dam. Anyway I've developed an oil leak that is getting worse by the day. It's a t-drive setup. The oil seems to be running along the top of the intake under blower between head and blower. (it's like a half inch channel there) It's not the valve cover leaking. looked and looked and can't find the source. Any idea's? Thanks

The blower supply oil line is probably the culprit

"The blower supply oil line is probably the culprit " Where is it located?

On the back of the engine a 1/4 in tube with a nut and special o-ring it supplies the blower with oil from the engine, access is from the inside of the bus through a hatch,if you have a tack drive on the blower the holding strap could have broken also
good luck

In a pinch, I think (iirc) I have "made" that seal ring from neoprene 1/4 inch id hose...

I pulled it apart and replaced the o ring and that solved it.

Thanks all. I still haven't found it even tried putting my camera back there and snapped several pics but, couldn't find a 1/4 inch line. Did find a hose coming of the side of the head going somewhere but its Luke 3/4. And something kids like a solenoid valve (maybe its the tach drive) couldn't tell if oil was coming from there. Anyway getting worse so, still looking

You are going to need access from top side to see and replace the o-ring lol a simple job once you gain access

There is a 4"rubber boot on the back end of the blower. Along side and on top of the boot there is a short steel oil line parallel to the boot.

I found it. The nut was loose so I, tightened it and let motor idle for awhile and no leak but, still getting the oil mess. maybe under load it is leaking. Going to find a Detroit shop and see it they have the o-ring. Can it be leaking under the blower?

This is a pretty simple fix. No need to find a Detroit shop. Pull the pipe off, take it apart and go to NAPA and get an O ring.

Thought it was some special o-ring?

OK, replaced that o-ring but was not the problem and now the problem is much worse. Losing over a gal. In 50 miles.  In the middle of nowhere in Three Forks, MT .. As best I can tell it's coming out under the front of the blower it takes some doing to even see under there. Any more ideas please?
