You do not need a cable for the V730, for example Bennett Controls has a very nice setup that only uses a toggle switch.

r j ,  I new you would say that, I was just waiting for you to post. I have shifted all my life, 30 years behind a peterbuilt. ever since I put in a new clutch the trans will not go into gear with out stopping engine. it down shifts allrite as long as I am not fully stopped. this issue was on another thread and I still have that problem. to all the guys that pasted thanks jim

I'm the same as Jim-21yrs shifting a 13spd-don't want to shift anymore. Once you drive the bus with the Allison, you'll be kicking yourself wondering why you hadn't done the switch sooner. I switched my Kenworth truck conversion from the 13spd to Allison HT740. Good Luck, TomC
