TSD sent an update saying they have made arrangements with PETRO that likely will offer the deepest discounts. They are also trying to bring on some smaller fuel suppliers to broaden the choice of stations.

If it works at Petrol it should be the same at TA's since Cardwell sold Petrol to TA you would think

Here's the updated list from yesterday from TSD.

... TA/Petro has come back to us with some great rates. They will likely be the lowest price out of all of our vendors."We have also added Kwik Trip and Kwik Star to our discount program with 10 cents off per gallon. We are reaching out to others now to see if we can increase to some of the smaller chains. Our current discount network is TA, Petro, Loves, Road Ranger, SAAP Brothers, Ambest, Kwik Trip and Kwik Star."

Anyone not signed up, just do it, really simple and savings are real.

Part2 update
in my earlier post, there was a significant discrepancy between what was posted on the app and what was actually deducted. Inquired about this and learned some very interesting news for those fueling in Oregon. Not knowing on that one fuel stop cost me about 50 bucks, yeah real money. :( Won't happen again.

On top of our price Oregon charges .34-.40 cents per gallon in PUC Tax.  If you don't carry a PUC permit you have to pay the additonal tax.  This is the only state in the US that does this.  That is why you have to walk in and tell them you are non commercial.

LOL never did me any good to walk in and tell them they still hit me with road tax a few years ago it was $.25 a gal above the posted price for RV's and automobiles

LOL finally gave in and signed up for the TSD Fuel drove 30 miles to a Flying J/Pilot only to find out they don't honor it anymore something about deal with Good Sams found a local station and paid $2.31 a gal it was cheaper than Loves that still honors the TSD card

Cliff, I just got a notice in their app, that they are now back on board with Flying J / Pilot and claim their discounts are better than ever.  Not sure what happened, but they seemed to have kissed and made up now.  Try again.  I have been using this card for almost a year now and have saved a lot of money if you can navigate thru their app on your phone otherwise it can be frustrating.  There are several steps to go thru and if you don't get fuel daily, they are easy to forget.

In the app you say? I haven't received that notice and when I do a price search I don't see any pilot/flying J locations coming up. Am I missing something here?

Interesting pattern that TSD is growing partner list, after having issues recently. I'm speculating with all the terrible downturn in the oil industry, TSD having a much easier time being another potential source for gas companies (distributors, retail). These days, surely making a nickel a gallon is better than zero.

They are making more than a nickel, the wholesale price of diesel is going up it has increased from $.74 to $.84 a gallon since a week ago.Truck stops all have a $.18 to $.25 a gal pumping fee they don't care what the price of fuel is as long as they get the pumping fee

Hi Cliff, learn something everyday, thanks for explaining how retailers make revenue. Still seems they'd get more money when pumping more. Selling for less than sign prices and existing negotiated discounts works as long as they net more than what they cannibalize from existing business.

We are planning a trip and after Gary Hatt comments I dug the TSD card out and deposited some money back into the account I set up for it ,my problem was I was not going to deal with only Loves .I don't care much for truck stops anyways they are always nasty, now where I travel if TSD could bring Quick Trip into the network I would like that very much

Clifford - Your lucky day. quoted from email from TSD. Better thank zero but better than none. Hardly worth taking the extra effort for a dime.

Your agreement is directly with TSD not the vendors. Please contact us at 800-275-5089 if you have any questions or concerns. DO NOT contact the vendors. Checked the app this morning and the deep discounts at loves is gone. Most stations around here are showing .16 discount now which is still making it a much higher cost per gallon than most other stations. Hope it's only temporary. That makes the card almost useless.

I need to move to Arizona I guess.  We can't even buy gasoline for the prices you are paying for diesel!  Diesel is running around $2.49 here in Minnesota.
