Yeah, but what is the sense of living if you don't have a bus?  Everything else is just passing time. :-)

I am open to the idea of helping to support this forum (and the magazine), but it is a business and not a charity. I have a business that does not make a lot of money, but it gives me exercise, and I feel good about helping customers that are older or handicapped. I have often joked that maybe I should make it a non-profit business so that I could pay myself better.  ::)

Maybe making BCM and the forum a non-profit entity would make it more enduring and sustainable. It is an important resource for those of us involved with our conversions, but the act of conversion for buses has been declining (not counting the tiny house movement). I remember back in the nineties when I was at one of the MAK Bus Conventions, talking with the editor of the magazine (at the time), who said that BCM was "a cash cow" in the MAK organization. I suspect that was because of the healthy number of subscribers, and the numerous ads being placed by bus conversion suppliers. Things are a little different now.

If we contribute extra support beyond our subscription, I would hope that we would receive some recognition such as a "contributing member" emblem on our sign-in icon, or some other notation that costs nothing other than time. (The military does that well, they hand out medals to stir the troops up). Unlike big corporations that are too big to fail, but still need a government handout, BCM is too important to fail, and we are the only ones that care.  :)

You have my number Cliff.  Other people have had problems accessing the Online magazine and call us for help.  All it takes is one call and then you will be a happy camper.  We can't help people that don't let us know they are having a problem. Also anyone who is not happy with the magazine will get a full refund, we like happy subscribers.   With 400,000 subscribers, it is hard to keep up with all of them. :-)

No need for subscribers to Donate extra $.  The Donate option if for folks that do not have a subscription as will be explained in a post coming soon.  Some people have expressed an interest in helping to support the Forum but are not interested in a magazine subscription.  That is what the Donation is all about.  It is not cheap maintaining this forum especially after upgrading servers.  Therefore Phil and I have been paying out of our own pockets to support the Forum for the past 6 years and I do not have another related business to help keep this afloat.  More info will be coming in the next few days. BTW, Donations are optional and should be based on the value you receive from the Forum.

Considering the vintage of most of the buses here, most would be more sympathetic to being asked to save a dinosaur.
