I note in the upper right-hand corner a small button.  What is the deal with the "Donate" .... Keep the wheels moving button?

Clearly, the five W's are missing here (who, what, where, when and why).  If you want someone to help or share resources, it would behoove you to tell them why.

FOR INSTANCE:  What the resources are going for and the nature of your problem be made known to those who you are soliciting for funds and/or funding.

In other words ...  "What's up with this?"

Whales are dying every day.  If you hit the Donate button, every $1,000,000 will save 1 whale. Please Give.  ;D

Just kidding.  I was about to post a note about that today.  Stay tuned.

Well the Blue Whale is normally about 1000' long.  Babes are probably much shorter.  ;D

So $1.00/foot is the typical donation.

I really do not have an statistic's available at this time Clifford, but I am fairly sure that you would not want one to park on you or near you.  Sources in the know, seem to believe they are in the $1M range, so that would put them near the bottom of ....  What were we talking about here?

Gary needs to put out something about this if he is expecting any kind of donation or help.  I am one of the dummies that got burned on the last go around with a two year subscription that materialized into a two issue drive by shooting.

Oh no!  If that is the current price of $1 per foot, you are sure a lot of these pikers on here Gary are going to be ordering up Poly-Wogs or something like that.

Even I am able to determine the buttons purpose.
But, drawing attention to it is a plus, I guess.
PS. Just because.

I saw the donate button.  I know this board and website has money issues.  Then yesterday I  got a thank you for renewing my subscription to BCM digital, which I had never completed because I couldn't remember my password.  Okay, I was going to renew  anyway even though I have only read one issue in over a year.  But I also noticed that they (BCM) put me on automatic payment for further remewals.

Damn, do deperate times call for desperate measures?

We set up all subscriptions as recurring (auto-renewal) over a year ago when we switched over to the new system as you will see in our subscription section (below).  All magazines and many companies are doing that now.  It makes it easier for our readers and for us as well so we do not need to send out as many renewal notices each month. Several people complained that they let their subscriptions lapse because they did not notice they were about to expire and then we had to send them their missing back issues and that got to be pretty expensive and time consuming.  This solved that problem.

If anyone was auto-renewed but no longer wants to receive the magazine, simply call the office and we will reverse the transaction. Only two people have done so far because they sold their bus.

We were considering shutting down the Forum about 6 months ago because of the cost to maintain it and the cost to port it over to a newer, better server which was past due, but we decided instead (at the suggestion of one of our avid followers) to set up a Donation option to keep it going.

The Donate button as will be explained soon. Standby for more information.
