Anyone heard from Gary ? I never know what time zone he is in when I think about calling

Clifford. He is an hour behind you. He will be lucky to have any cell coverage, except for GCI in Glenallen. Hopefully he gets back to internet sometime.

Yea the Copper River is good fishing if you can figure when the season opens and closes, lol when we were at Gakona you could fish for a day or 2 then it would close and open back up in 2 days.

I would sure like to be where a summer day is 60 degrees instead of 114 degrees though

I think all the red salmon in the Copper river are hatchery raised

Copper River run reds and king salmon are natives, they are always the first to the market in Seattle and else where.

The Prince William Sound Hatchery at Cordova is limited to pink salmon they are also called humpbacks or humpies :)
these are most often what one gets when they buy canned salmon.

The most we ever paid for salmon in AK was .29 cents, the price of a hook :)

the thing about salmon is they return to spawn where they were born, consequently they rarely get very far up river. i am no fish expert but have never caught a pink  in the copper river. but i never fished the mouth.they are plentiful in Valdeeez.

Sockeye, red ,blueback whatever people call them Ak has some strange fishing laws you catch a wild tagged salmon they take it way from you ??? same with the Halibut in Homer you never knew for sure if you could keep it or not

When we were at Upper Cook's inlet I saw one of the commercial fishing boats come in 40 tons of Salmon that is a lot of Salmon.I like fishing for Salmon in Idaho the weather is  better

My favorite was on the docks in Kodiak, King crab was pretty cheap...but not anymore. ;D

actually many days u were best off to carry a transistor radio...they would close the fishing that quick, on the other hand i have seen years where you could catch and keep 6 reds per day.

Can we presume that Gary has solved the code issues on his Series 60?

It appears he is four hours behind Eastern time.  Probably Pacific time zone.

Hard Headed Ken

We got Gary going. The ECM lost it's 5 volt power supply to the throttle position sensor. Gary checked every related circuit to make sure there was no opens or grounds where there didn't need to be. Then he tapped into the 5 volt sensor supply on the engine side and connected that 5 volts to his throttle and away he went. I think he's headed south but in no hurry.
