Axle End Front Axle & Tag Axle

What type of oil should i be using for the front Axle & Tag Axle  .... i have been using sae 40 wt

40w is the recommendation on the O1 lube chart for the MCI go with it the same spec as the engine oil

I use PowerPunch, have for 40 years.  Comes in handy quart bottle.

Ok thanks stick with what i'm  using sae 40 wt ................ just changed hub caps front and rear before i filled them i thought i should ask ... i guess when its minus - 40 it must be just like lard in there under the hub cap

Seems to vary, my MC7 manual said same as engine, 30 wt.  i wound up using Lucas Hub Oil and loved it. Tried the 85W-90 gear oil but changed to the Lucas, temps went down, no more issues.
