Thanks for the reply, Señor DMoedave! Here is one of the engine room, as you requested. There is only one radiator and fan, on the left. I think I have enough room to install the generator on the right.

For what its worth, a bus of this make and model in this or worse shape typically goes for between 220,000 - 250,000 pesos. (The peso is approx. 12.60 to the U.S. dollar) My friend is selling me this one for 130,000 pesos, approx. $10,340 U.S.

Well Peru and Bolivia have at least the MarcoPolo? double decker with twin steers...Not sure where they are made, Brasil I think.  I have yet to ride in one, but will try before this is done.  Would post a pic but the only thing slower than Bolivian buses in the mountains... is... Bolivian Internet....anywhere!.

**Unusual, in my opinion, BOTH air suspension AND leaf springs on all four corners.

Tell me more!   I've heard of leaf springs being cut down so only one or two leaves remain, to only act as location holders for the axle, with the actual suspension then done by airbags.   Is this sort of what your bus has?   I am thinking of adding some air helper springs or bags to my existing leaf springs, just to help level the bus.   (I will eventually have more weight on the right side, and unfortunately the left rear spring is the stiffer one;  even now my bus leans slightly to the right.)   Do your airbags have ride-height valves to compensate for varying loads, or are they a fixed pressure and firmness?

How does your MASA ride?   Does it float or jiggle over the bumps?!

I love Mexico, and my dream (eventually) is to take my bus through the country, and maybe further.   This is one reason I chose the relative simplicity and higher ground clearance of my bus.

Gday all,
been lurking for a bit and decided to finally join,anyway we currently reside in Melbourne Australia and currently are just 6months into ownership.build of a good ol Auusie coach....well sort of anyway

She(Sophie) is a 1985 Mercedes 0303 with the Austral Tourmaster body.Power comes from a 951ci twin turbo V8 Benz mated to a ZF Synchro 6spd...still yet to work ot what diffs in it.

"Denning" here from downunder. I mean we are from Melbourne Australia and our Motorhome/Coach/Bus is a Denning. Model - 1979 "Mono". Original tag axle removed many years ago by bus company. 40ft long. Roof raised 1 ft.Detriot 6V92 (non turbo). Currently Fuller/Eaton 5 speed crash box, about to be replaced with Spicer 7 speed crash box. 4.11 diff.
Converted to Motorhome in Tasmania - that tiny island that is part of Australia just south of Melbourne. Complete new steel body. Tasmanian Oak hardwood interior by ship-wright. 2 x Leather Captains chairs. Leather sofa. 240 volt mains power. 6 solar panels - 24 & 12 volt system/inverter. Fresh water, grey water, Dometic marine toilet. Gas hot water. Generator. BBQ. Awning.
Retiring from work soon, so looking forward to long trips- currently only weekends & 1 week trips. Currently rebuilding covered in double-deck trailer for Subaru Forester all wheel drive, and 5 meter catamaran yacht on top.
Love this board - check it nearly every day - so much useful information from our American "bus-brothers".
