i found a b500 that came from a Detroit S60.
my idea is to mount it to a Cummins l10.
i have seen b400 trannys coupled via TPS sensor as stand alone systems.

do i need a different ECU or can it be reprogrammed? or just change the wiring to tps without data bus??

i was searching for a whole combo to make it easier, but could only find find a mechanical L10 that are running with a HT740

You can run the B500 behind a mechanical engine, or an electronic engine without being hooked directly to the engine.  You just need a throttle position sensor and you'll be set.  The transmission will not shift as smoothly as when it is hooked directly to the engine, but it will work.  Good Luck, TomC

so i can use the stock ecu???  (from the s60 setup)

im waiting on my service manual to get the wiring diagram and specs,
but im trying to gather some info before i buy the tranny!!

as said, would be easier if there had been a stock l10 b400 or b500 setup around.
