John,

Like the Eagle, but really like the 392 tri-power in the coupe. That old 392 was/is one heck of an engine. If that is your towed I'll bet it could pull the Eagle in a pinch if you could keep the Eagle aired up!

I had five of them at one time. Put a 354 in a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere. I had a custom built set of headers, running 12.5 to 1 aluminum pistons, and a cam with 305 degrees duration and 0.556 lift. I checked the valve to piston clearance and the valve did not even touch the clay. I often wondered just how much lift I could have run without having a clearance issue. I also put a 392 into a 1966 Dodge Town Wagon (similar to a GMC Yukon). These two vehicles were simply awesome and the engines filled out engine bay most impressively.

84dime,

Forged aluminum pistons did just fine. They even had pockets in the tops to increease valve to piston clearance. Oh yeah, I mounted two 650 CFM Holley two barrels on top of it. What music it did make.

I agree with Andy, Nice Prevost! It's nice to see the older style and in such good shape. A gorgeous coach!

I am almost done updating the MC8 that I purchased at an auction two years ago. I just need to replace the drivers windshield and it will be ready for the next owner. It is a 1977 with an 8V-71 Detroit Diesel and Allison HT740 Automatic Transmission. I purchased it for the Martin generator that had 50+ hours, which I plan to put in my Prevost. I had planned on cleaning the coach up and reselling it "as is", but I started updating the interior and got carried away. It was originally converted around 1996 by Ray Goff (I think), who was a member of the Converted Coach Owners Association. Ed Roelle and other members of the CCO were very helpful in educating me about the MC8.

Thanks John,
Nothing added to the appearance of the bus as much as the chrome window tint. It only took a couple days to instal. Too bad everything else didn't get done as quick.

Clifford sent these to me and I wanted to share them. It's Jim Reeves Flxible that he traveled in back in the 60's. Pretty cool huh!

OK, maybe the third try is going to be the charm. Darn pic size problem again.

Here is our coach. We are going into our fourth year of ownership. We have enjoyed logging over 30,000 miles in the first three years and expect to keep racking them up at the same rate this year. Our target area will be Wisconsin and Michigan so honk if you see us out there our give us a call on the old CB.
