Me and my big "joking mouth!" I think I'm gonna be in TROUBLE AGAIN!

Well it seems a friend, competitor and shop customer has this nice '95 SETRA S215 HDH.
And it's at my shop with a locked up A/C compressor. Well it's a $4,500.00 Compressor + $900.00 for the clutch (new @ my cost! Before mark up!), and then there is labor & freon

Well After I gave him prices he said he had to decide which way to go, and he'd get back to me! (Well I know his $ is tight right now too, as he had his buses down in TX the same time we did and is waiting on the $ too!)

So after two days I called him and asked if he'd decided which way to go? He said "not yet, hadn't had time to discuss it with his wife yet. And he didn't know if he wanted to drop that kinda $ in a 13 yr old coach or just put a used one on it (which I also have) and trade it off!"

Well dumb smartellic me says "Ya know ya need to just sell it to me as is!"

I didn't expect him to say "Well let me ask the wife and call the bank, and see if they'll let you take over the payments!"

Oopps! I think I'm gonna have some explaining to do, when I get home from OH. Because mom & dad will be finding it at our shop when they get home tonight! Dang it I hate it when this happens! I really should learn to keep my big mouth shut, or discuss things with dad before I open my big mouth!

Oh well if ya hear about my funeral then things didn't go to well! And if not well maybe they'll like another SETRA in the fleet!

Just a suggestion: You keep stating to the effect in other threads that a Setra is just an "Updated Eagle". Does it have the same suspension? If so, just put a big sticker on the side that says "Trailways" and an Eagle emblem up front! 

"Naw! It can't be a Setra!"    

Of course, I'm busless, so I'm easily fooled..
