While driving home today on I-75 North just south of Ruskin, Florida, I came across a 2002 Prevost sitting on the side on the highway.  I pulled over to find a front right tire shredded to kingdom come.  From the mark on the road he had been traveling in the left hand lane when the tire blew.   He stated he had AAA, but not with RV Towing   >:(     As luck with have it, I was able to drive to the next exit, which is where I was going anyway.  Contact a tire company that is on the way out to mount a new tire.   :)

As I'm driving up the interstate, I got to thinking.  I have a jack, but nothing else...

My question, what tools do I need to change a tire on an MCI-9?    ???

Well Bill, I think a cell phone and ERS would be first choice!!

Spare tire would be first thing.
Jack, I have air over hydraulic with an onboard compressor, also need air hose.
I carry an assortment of wood, in case I have to jack on soft ground or blacktop or to run bus up on for various reasons. If outer dual, can run inner up on wood and dont need Jack. Also good to block tires.
"bud" socket, socket that removes nut and then stud for duals.
I carry 3/4 inch breaker bar, also need 3/4 inch extension for duals.
6 foot pipe for breaker bar
I carry 3/4 inch impact wrench. better than breaker bar and pipe, but I carry both.
Cell phone to call friends

Did I miss anything?     HTH Jim

All you need is a spare tire, you don't even need a wheel, and Good Sam.

I have a bunch of tire tools and air but I don't plan to use them unless things get totally out of control!

The cost of Good Sam road service is so low it is totally beyond my imagination why everyone doesn't carry it. One road service or tow will cost more than GS for a bunch of years.
