One useful thing would be an organized mind that can anticipate which questions a beginner would ask, and which questions an active converter would ask. So those who dig through the archives can focus on specific things to dig for.

I.E: ( Beginners questions )
What kind of bus should I be looking for?
Relative merits of schoolies, transits and ICs
How big is big enough?

Create the index first; then populate the Wiki.

And thank you for the links.

You might want to look their GM_Next..Wiki setup for more ideas.

Could you give us a wiki MAK beta site to see how it will work?

Do you have a link for that.  I did some Google searches and didn't find a wiki by that name.

Right now Phil is working out the integration of the software into the login system of the forum.  That way your existing login does it all.  No need to register/login separately.

Three other volunteers and I in the process of browsing through the forum for useful posts to start out populating the wiki with topics.  I am also trying to get some more voluteers to help browse it.  It is easy to do and doesn't require any writing.  It just involves browsing a selected group of forum threads, at your leisure, looking for good material for the wiki topics and reporting links to the posts of interest.  Each selected group of threads takes about 3 hours to browse through and you can spread that out over days or even weeks.

Once the software is integrated and working smoothly and the category structure is set up, I'll populate it with a few topics to demonstrate the format, then it will go public.  Even though it will be fully operational, it will still be a "beta" site in that we'll be adding categories and making adjustments for a while based on suggestions and feedback.  Quite appropriate to the nature of bus conversion, the nature of a wiki makes it forever a work in progress.   We can add new categories easily as needed and everybody can add their knowledge on bus conversion topics and add stories and photos of their conversions.

I'll be continuing to add topics based on knowledge currently buried in the forum for quite a while.  There is so much bus conversion wisdom already contained in the forum that it is amazing.  It is going to be great to have it pulled into an organized, easily searched format.

I am very sorry for not adding the link with the post.
