just finished (Almost) installing a new big heater in the drivers area (using the (The heater  engine water)  Built a simple encloser that allows me to use the heater in many ways via 2 flapper doors + the existing control of four  2 inch defroster  outlets.
  I can>.
Heat the bus the normal way

Discharge 100% of the engine HEAT overboard ( from the heater ) via a 3 inch ABS  pipe (Capped when not in use) behind the  front bumper on a hot pull/day, without any heat IN the bus.

Suck the air OUT of the bus to overboard.

suck outside air INTO the bus (with water On/off )..

Blow 100 % hot air to the defroster

Also from one of the defroster outlets put hot/cold air to the drivers feet thru a small partision
next to my right leg ...with a cap, on or off as needed..

Three of the defrosters used one to spare !!!!! BTW it blows a lot air....I have a feeling that I missed another action

Ken, didn't you already have your coach heat set up so that you could blow it overboard if you wanted to?

Do you have any pictures?

Hi TOM''''''
Yes Sir, I built the steel parts years ago. I just built a box under the heater to contain the direction of  the air flow to the in/out flaps, plus had to hitch it to the water lines and some other minor modifications.
It works as planned and to look at it looks like a plain ole heater.
A couple weeks ago I was doing some stick welding  close to heater, the 3 wires to it were laying on the second step as was I, with the ends stripped I plunked the rod holder on the step then my foot knocked it to the wires and mated to the med speed wire I thought it was a turbo prop airplane was after me!!!!I It must have been turning umteen thou  RPM
It melted the med resistor and one impellor spun off the shaft, I fixed it and put a rheostat on it, one wire and it runs just fine....

PS......... I have sorted out which is which on the plumbing ...........From previous post

I did the same on my MC8, I used the org. big bus heater, in the winter I use it as intended and in the summer cap it off and it is exhausted to the side, adds a lot of extra eng.cooling if needed.

I would like to see some pics also. That sounds like a great idea. Although the bus heater I'm using took the place of the original. Would be nice to be able to cap it off and send it down and out.
