Driving home last evening, I approached a NJ transit bus on a two lane bridge in South Jersey. I looked once 2X,3X, and thought another bus was about to pass this oncoming bus.(?) Actually as I slowed, I could see that the rear of this bus in service with passengers, had the rear end out of line by 18" or more. The front of the bus was tracking within the lane, but the rear was in my lane by a mile.
Must have really hit something to tear the rear axle out of line by that much, but these buses do not often run speeds above 40 - 50mph...

I wonder if the driver wrote up a note to maintenance at the end of the evening run.....

Good Morning Nick,

NJT RTS coming over the straight portion of the Ninth Street Bridge. I really could not believe it, as I was coming home last nite. The lanes get tight and the rear was not tracking the front steering tires...

Bad day at work, but no drinking before sighting .
