[Paso One]

I hope you are still south as the overnight low last night was -44 and the windchill is currently -53 the schools etc. are closing like flies.  The overnight forecast for tonight is a balmy -38.  The local transit buses with 6 V71's are running on schedule.  The rest of you guys down south I hope your working in the shade today.  My bus is drifted from the building to the roof of the bus.  I should post a picture so you guys can thank your lucky stars   Why do you seem smarter than us.

Paso One.......and you are in southern Saskatchewan....I wonder how the folks up North are faring..... it might be cold up there.

Last winter at this time I swore there would be no more winters here in OH. It was a balmy +2 deg. that night.

A few major setbacks changed that. (coach isn't close to being done)  So here I am, in the not so cold, OH river valley. It was warm at 44 deg last night.

Yes we are not in the northern part of Saskatchewan,  Bob lives further north and he is usually right in the cold belt. There is semi's all over freezing up and I just heard on the radio all school bus service has been pulled off the road.  After lunch our temp is -37 and a windchill of - 47 Skin is freezing in less than a minute.

I think Bob is around Q in Arizona. I wouldn't be heading back any time soon. We leave for Mexico in 2 wks for a month ... I hope winter is over by the time we get back ... had enough of this .... we definitely need more global warming.

Yabbut - how's this for a genius move ---

I've got a Westjet ticket out of Las Vegas at 2:00 AM Friday - you read that right - 2:00 in the middle of the bloody night, arriving in Saskatoon at 11:00 AM Friday.  I was MSNing with my kid (going to university in Saskatoon) at noon yesterday and it sounded nasty.  Talked to a couple of folks there today on the phone and it didn't sound any better.

It gets worse - I have to go to Winterpeg all next week for a convention.  Fortunately I'm booked at the host hotel - unfortunately I am driving. 

Right now I can look out the front window at the beach on the north side of the island at Lake Havasu.  Thermometer says it is 22 C outside.  Look on the bright side - my yard will be snowed in 4' deep so nobody can get to my house to rob me.  Of course I'll have to walk through that carrying my bags but that's another story.
