Doug, I see the model 25 has plates and safety inspection sticker now so it must be drivable to make it to the DMV

please provide a link to these aleged photos.  not any that show plates or inspection sticker on their website....although they do have updated photos, even more ugly that I remembered

Why so down on the Eagle 25?

If I suddenly had the money to blow on a new shell the Eagle 25 would probably be top on my list.  Yes, it looks more like a stick and staples than a bus, but I would be buying a motorhome, not a passenger bus.  Certainly if I was buying a new shell I would check out all of the manufacturers and not just Silver Eagle.

not too down on it...but it is freakin ugly.

as far as buying one.  Now I was asked so it is an open target!

I would not buy one for the following reasons.

1. Manufacturer does not meet it's own published timeframes on production.  Now more than 1 year behind their 1st production bus rollout

2. No known parts or service structure at this point

3. if they fail, as a large percentage of startups do(any industry), you are stuck with a white elephant.

4. I would not buy a shell that I could not roll into just about any town and find someone who can work on it with some experience with that brand

5.  And most importantly, I think it is Ugly and lacks any thought out design or character.  That said I was never a fan of the Eagle look but prior eagles at least had character.  I understand why it looks the way it does....because it was simple to make.

tekebird by your comments i take it you will not be buying a BCI bus you were so high on several months ago.The model 25 doesn't appeal to me as a Eagle fan but its a shell built for a special group, also when i was at the factory they were building a model 15 fwiw

tekebird

your right...woould not  consider buying a BCI for myself...at this point......I forget why I posted them......but at least they have parts availability and two locations....and when they say said they would have a bus they did.

and providing that they fixed what was wrong  with  the guy who stopped at BK's......they are worlds better than Eagle at this point.

as for looks,   I never thought   prior eagles were UGLY, they just  didn't make anything in my pants move......I did like the early Kassbohrer Eagles with the three windows up front and suspenders in the rear......those had class and style

the new one lacks  class, style and personality.

Can we leaglly start a pool on this board?

For what its worth, Jim Drew owner of Shamus Coach in NY & owner of the BCI Falcon that Dad & I had the oppertunity to work on. Is totally happy with the BCI since making it home. He said much of the problems he had was simply misinformation and haste to get it out the door so that he and his wife could make it back to NY for christmas with their family. He said what few real issues he had with the coach were quickly resolved. # 1 issue was resolved by dad & I with the starting problem, even though we're not sure what the problem was exactly. Some how of all the things we did to it, we corrected the problem since he's not had a problem since we worked on it. Jim has called me several times since then and is estatic about the coach, and BCI's service and commitment to it's customers. I have also spoke with BCI several times since then and they are planning to put a service center in the St. Louis area as no one else (of the big boys that is!) already has one in that area. Also they have put us down as a service provider for customers in this area who need assistance, and are planning to bring us a demo model to try out for about 60 days.

All in all I love the Old Eagles, but I must say BCI is more on the ball at this stage.
