We left our winter home in Bushnell, FL on Dec 24 to drive to Jack & Paula Conrads where we met up with a group of great Busnuts and stayed overnight. Christmas Day we all drove over to Turner Ag Center to set up for Bussin' 2008. Sally and Ray invited all to Christmas dinner at their home (bring a passing dish or dessert) and a great time was had by all.  While I don't need to comment much about the rally other than to say it was a ball abetted by the fact that Florida Cliff, Julie and their children were on one side and Cody and Libby from MI were on the other. They all terrorized me!

We stayed until 'the last dog was hung' as they used to say in my neck of the woods then drove to Labelle, FL to visit an old friend and his wife at  their cattle ranch for 3 nights.  Good thing for us they had a spare bedroom..it colder 'n a prostitute's heart and us without propane heat we happy for the offer. I found out that at one time their family ranch was a complete township...that's 6 miles by 6 miles. 23, 040 acres..I don't know how many cattle that supported but it's a whale of a lot of land to tend.

Then we were off to Jonathon Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound for a week to visit our oldest daughter who luckily lives only 3 miles down the road. Our Great-Grandshildren, grandchildren and of course their parents were there on Saturday to welcome us.  What a ball!  Too bad that 2 year old can't can some of that energy for when he's my age!

Now we're in T-Y Park, a Broward County Park in Hollywood, FL for 10 days to visit the youngest daughter, who lives in Dania.  She and I fished (her husband, who was asked to join us, worked on a new ceiling in his shop) their 23' Mako yesterday and hunted all over the Gulf Stream for a few Dolphin or Kingfish...but got skunked...but the beer tasted 'oh so good!'  She's a fine skipper and really knows how to fish...it's the catching that seems to elude her.

FYI, T-Y Park has added 50 drive through sites with 50A service and full hookups at $35 per day. For this area you can't beat the deal. Brand spanking new and very clean!  I will happily post on 'Places We Visit'.

Our plans are to return to the ranch of our friends in Labelle for a few more days before we go home to Bushnell. Something tells me I'm going to have an itchy foot for the rest of the winter.  Traveling is such fun!

Bob & Jackie,

Continue to have a great time in Fl, it was so good to see you guys at Arcadia and I truly enjoyed the one on one conversation we had in your Coach with Jackie.  She's a good woman and we enjoy seeing her each time as she always smiles and makes everyone she meets day much brighter.

Have a good winter and stay warm.  Freaky weather all over even here but we are still breathing!!

Give Cliff and family and all the rest of the gang we know down there in FL our best.  Keep the travel updates coming, anyone taking the time in doing this has to encourage others to get that rig of their's going no matter what the cost of fuel, it will never go back down to 25.9 per gallon again, ever!!!!!

Sounds like your enjoying yourself bob, I was worried that you would be feeling neglected without cliff and me helping you to solve the worlds problems. We're enjoying florida a lot, the snow doesn't seem to pile up much here lol.  This fulltiming thing is great, I wish we had started long ago, but the main thing is that we're doing it now.  We sure enjoyed visiting with you and jackie, your good people in spite of what all we heard lol.  I found another orange cover if you need one for the dump hose, someone told me you lost the one you had.

Golly Gary!  You just busted my bubble all to pieces!  I felt that one day they'd open the doors to Fort Knox and put the dollar back on the gold standard and we'd all have cheap gas again because the buck would be worth more!  Oh well...not all dreams come true, do they.

Forgot to mention that I got a Garmin 340C for the bus and it's telling me that my speedo is definitely off by 10% at 65MPH.  Does that mean I can increase my fuel milage by 10%?

Thanks for the offer, Cody, but since I threw the last one away I haven't had any separation anxiety over it.

Funny thing about the Hollywood area...some of the natives speak English but here in the park it's mostly French, which I don't understand, and most of everone else speaks only Spanish. Isn't Florida still in America?
