Well i am in Yuma now and the trip went well. Came down US 93 from Twin Falls ID and no snow but raining from Jackpot through Ely . just wanted to ionow if anyone around Yuma? I see a bus parked in the West wetland Park in the fenced in maintainence area and has the awning out and I assume must work for construction or the city on the park. Its great to be here where it's warm and you can enjoy the outdoors. Jerry

Enjoy the warm temps!

I was thinking of going to Twin Falls and get a few jumps off the Perrinne Bridge for Thanksgiving, but if it's cold, I'll hang in Colorado for now.  :D

Enjoy!

 There are probably a couple of dozen buses out in the Foothills, more coming in all of the time.  Drive around, you will find them. :)

I have been to the foothills and not seen any there but I was interested if any were on this board. I seen one there last year setting on a lot for sale. Now gas costs to much to go cruising around to look. Jerry

I'm boondocking outside Yuma in my MCI5A right now.  There are 4 or 5 MCI/GMC's in the area.  From where I'm sitting typing at ya, I can see a nice GMC.  Converted busses number in the hundreds in the Yuma area every year.  MOST are not on line!

I know a lot go to Quartsite and there are a lot of blm areas I guess that boondockers go to. I am at the River Front RV Park in Yuma just accross the river from River's Edge in Winterhaven. Jerry

I may be down in this area in a few months just to chk things out. For sure next winter i will be down there. I am curious what you guys are using to get on the internet? Do the wireless cards work well there? Is one service better than the others? I don't want to hear about satellite as i can't afford that.

I just reread my post above. What i should have said was air cards instead of wireless cards. I doubt there is much for wifi available out in the boonies.

Jerry,  we are on a lot on E. 53rd Lane in the Foothills in our 68 MCI 5A.  There is an Eagle next door, another one across the street , and a GM right around the corner.  Stop by and say hi.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Ed,   where are you and what year is your 5A?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       John,  we use our cell phone, ( Verizon)  with their mobile office kit to connect to the computer  and the internet.  $39  to buy the cable and cd to install the program.  No monthly charge. No use of minutes as long as we are only online between 9pm and 6 am M-F.  However we can be online all day Sat. and Sun. if we want and not use minutes.  Works anywhere you can get a verizon tower and sometime will even work in extended network..

I am in the 102a3 and have it prettywell set up. I pulled my car down here and got 6,5 MPG for the 1200 mile trip. Basement heat pump doing well at cooling in the high 80 temps and takes the chill offf onn the 55 degree mornings. I have a 2000 watt hot water tank so don't take long to heat the water. Still many things to complete but going well. Thanks for all you help while I was out in SC. Jerry

Jerry;
     As long as you are in the area, a visit to Quartzite is a must.  A lot of folks go in January.
     I plan on going about Jan 26.  You can spend a month just looking at swapmeets.  Also
     BLM parking is available if you like.   Enjoy!

This is ED, I am the guy in the blue MCI 7 you came up to see in Quartzsite last year.  I am going to try to get there again the DEC or Jan 2008.
