Ok, where did it go?? Am I missing something??? I thought we were all playing nice!! Some good thoughts, lessons and examples were being given.
Did it get ugly in the last 2 hours?? Or somebodies panties get all up in a bunch??
This is something I'm REALLY interested in.  :'( :'( :'( And there is new info out there all the time and I was hoping it would develop into a good conversation and a sharing topic of possibly new info.

   Really curious,

I for one do not know what you are talking about.  Did something happen while I was off this board?  Apparently it has to do with a thread discussing bio-diesel, but I could be totally wrong toossss.  Maybe you could give us a sit-rep as to what is going on here.  Flying blind right now.  Thanks.  :) :) :)

Chaz,

It go move to the OT section, for what reason I do not know. The posts were bus related, I thought.  ;)

Maybe someone should start a topic with the heading "Alternative Fuels" that would be a permanent fixture.

nothing to do with fuel but the 57 Eagle post is gone now also

Also the post on 1982 Prevost (green) is missing. I tried to post and it said "Error". What is going on?

I think Phil is going to need to optimize the sql databases again.  :(

Paul I had no problem getting to the Prevost Thread: http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=6357.0

Paul,
I'm very curious about that too. Hopefully Richard can enlighten us.
I'm not sure the thread would have to be a "permanent fixture" but if it did "fade" it could be put over in the "Help" section with the other one (which is, by the way, locked). I think the thread there has had 7225 hits, or something like that. Now THAT is some kind of interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it definitly is something worth discussing.
I'd be glad to get one started, but I'd like to know if it's a "taboo" subject or not. My guess would be because some people have a WAAAAAY too much of a bad opinion of the subject and not want to play nice. I can totally understand them not liking it because of what they "experienced" or maybe even what they have heard, but thats what the discussion is for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAN!!!
I am working on setting mine up, but if someone can convince/prove to me it is so bad, I won't do it. (again, a good discussion!) But I understand that if done correctly, it will be an AWESOME addition to my bus, cause the saving I get will be when I use my bus so i will be able to use it more!!!!!! It's not like saving money on parts or something where that money could be used for something else.  IE. if chocolate (or Bailey's Irish Cream  ;D) were 1/200th the actual price, I'd save money enjoying it on a lot more frequent basis!!!!!!  ::)  Know what I mean, jellybean??

Anyway, hopefully this will be worked out. I don't think I am the only one interested in this subject.  Am I ?? ?? ?? ??

Well, I'm a slow typer and seen the previous posts before posting but did it anyway. I can understand the page slowing down but why would you move an active thread??

  Again, just asking,

I just read this thread and see nothing on it that is not OT.

I am actually in the process of converting mine as we speak. I have one of the tanks mounted and I'm building my manifold that heats the WVO and the other hydronic stuff from my Proheat. I am a little concerned about my setup because of the DDEC. If anybody can educate me on the fuel system on a DDEC it would be great. I only want factual info from knowledgable people that really know what they are talking about not "I think it works like this" as this is very important to me. I need to know about fuel heat and cooling as pertaining to DDEC operations. Electronic injectors, how they work? Fuel pressure requirements. A list of things I need to be aware of.

Chaz, I like the way you think outside the box. I have some info to share with you on making your system work. Your's will be a walk in the park compared to mine but you should take all the same precautions I am with mine. I was fortunate enough to get about 200 gallons or so from another busnut so when I get mine working I will have plenty of fuel to test with.

Chaz,

Keep after em guy. I will keep on running my bio-diesel fuel my cost has went up to about 85 cents per gallon now with the higher trucking charges. At this rate I can keep on traveling in the bus and can afford a T-Bone steak now and then which I can't do burning diesel from our overseas friends so called.

I was inspected by the AZ gestapo at road side check point and they was checking for red off road fuel and had no concern for my veggie Bio-Diesel which you can buy at a lot of places at about same price as Diesel #2.
