I'm curious as to why everyone bought a but or at least what they use it for the most often.
I'd love to see some results here and get an idea of what everyone does with a bus.

You forgot to add 'sit in that big spot and kill the grass while I pour endless money into trying to convert it'.

That would have to get my vote! haha

So far, my bus gets used mostly as a workshop.  It's where I keep just about all my tools, anyway.  It's also where I spend most of my (once) free time working on the conversion itself.

Other,

Every other room on the place has been envaded by others so now
I have my portable fort and music practice room. As a fort it is really
great because I can hide it. (kind of like an elephant in a cherry tree)

Is medical mobility device an option? or does that fall under the last strand of sanity clause lol.  My eagle has disability plates on it so I can get a really good parking place at walmart.  Actually our intent is to fulltime, I need a warmer climate in the winter my joints scream each morning and I can predict the weather better than any of the local forcasters.

Hi Skip - what kind of music do you practice?

Phil,

I mostly work on trying to figure out stuff like Leo Kottke, George Winston, Hawaiian Open Chord style
applied to folk, blues, jazz, gospel and just about any other type song that pops into my head.

I'm afraid I'll never get there though but it is fun trying. I only seem to be able to practice at the most 2 nights
a week for 30 min to 2 hours at a time not nearly enough to achieve proficiency.

Thanks Skip - Assuming the guitar?   There seem to be a lot of musicians on this board - bus nuts & music.  Musical bus nuts.   ;D  ;D

I'm on the doghouse bass ( stand up - string bass ).  Blue grass / gospel.
