My neighbor purchaced a 2007 S&S with a Freightliner chassis.

It's been to 4 dealers allready, and none can figure out why the brakes won't stop the thing. They even weighed it!

He has now parked it and contacted his lawyer because he is that afraid of the brake system. He really needs to drive it

through the front of the building where he purchaced it in FL. I will refrain from the names here...

So, that makes me wonder why there would be a chassis on e-bay.. It probably stops great without a body on it!

Kyle,

Why don't you mount that Airstream on the frame and drive from that seat up front?

I promise you would turn some heads!

'Cause I want a 4501 conversion. The Airstream trailer is simply a way of jumpstarting the camping experience.  8)

I turn heads already - back & forth as they wonder how I made it this far.  :o  ;D

We get lots of Freightliner chassis motorhomes in for service.  If your friend is having problems with the brakes, they are exactly the same brakes we put on our trucks.  If they are hydraulic disc, they are rated at 12,000lb front and 21,000lb rear-33,000lb total.  If they are air powered drum, the specs are no different then truck brakes.  It sounds to me to be a problem in the ABS system.  Good Luck, TomC

I had a freightliner chassis motorhome (allegro bus) that when climbing a hard grade the brakes would go out completely. The pedal would just go clear to the floor. Jerry
