Trusting everyone had a safe and fun Labor Day Weekend!

The dust has settled in the corral, the horses are anxious, we're getting ready to circle the wagons!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only are we having a BBQ with hamburgers and hotdogs on Thursday evening, we are also scheduled to have a BBQ Smoker on Friday or Saturday night!  :) Donations will be taken to offset the cost.

Even though there is no reservation needed to mark your spot for the Roundup we still need to know WHO IS COMING for sure. We would like an accurate head count for the food, PLEASE.  ;) Also we would like to make sure because of Sonnie laying out his hard cash for US. He had to pay for 15 spots in the group area, which holds 37. The first 15 will reimburse Sonnie, the rest will pay when you get there. Not a bad deal I must say. Thanks Sonnie! ;)

I know this has been a hassle for everyone changing from Hickory Creek to Eisenhower State Park, at least the dates are the same and the location is pretty close to the original. Can't always count on Mother Nature cooperating!  ;D

Other things planned also, goodie bags, raffle and lots of FUN!

If you have not sent me an email yet for the final count, PLEASE DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. paul_lawry@yahoo.com

I am so excited about this event, it will be great fun.

Happy Trails,

Paul

Are the reserved sites numbered 4 through 39 at the north end of Armadillo Hill Camping area?

Just wondering??

David,

The area chosen is the Cedar Hollow Group Area. When looking at the map go the the left of center. It is a large paved area that we can park up to 37 buses, not individual spaces. This is what I have been told, we'll see it next week. ;)

Hope you can make it.

Runcutter

Paul, I checked out the directions Monday, as I was driving to Kansas City.  An earlier email had missed a detail.  Take Route 75 north to Exit 72.  From there use Route 91 NORTH to FM 1310, then west two miles to the park (the turn direction on 91 was missing, although it's obvious in daylight.  I only went as far as the park gate, so I didn't check out the specific area - I wanted to get back on my way north.  The left turn to FM 1310 looks ok, there is a left turn lane (but watch out for oncoming traffic.  The turns are a lot better than going into Hickory Creek (there was a real sharp turn that could really sneak up on you).

My original understanding is that there's at least 30 amp service, but if it's a large parking lot, is there electricity? (I guess I should have paid the day fee to drive in and look around.)

The water leak in our coach has been traced to the auxiliary generator, so (at last report), the lines to the coach heater and generator are shut off - so I can run the coach, but not the generator.

Arthur,

As far as I know regarding the area for parking our buses there are individual spaces with 30 amp  and water service for each coach. I think they must be marked like a parking lot, not sure though.

Thanks for the additional information on the directions! That is a big help. Trust everyone going will catch that.

Glad to hear you found your water leak problem.

See you next week.

Each spot in the Group Camping area has 30 amp Elec & water hookups (no individual sewage hookups, but dump stations in park).

I believe we have heard from just about all that had shown an interest in the TBR 2007.  However, we have plenty of extra space in the big group camping area we reserved and I'm sure there will be plenty of food too!  So if you're "on the fence" about coming out it's not too late.....don't be shy, we'll leave the light on for ya'. ;D

See ya' at TBR 2007! 8)

I programmed our GPS this morning, we'll see which route it chooses. We mapquested it and found a pretty good route up to Wichita Falls then East to Denison. Might come back another way, or not!

Doing last minute checks and balances today. I know we will forget something!

See everyone at the Texas Bus Roundup 2007!

Happy Trails,

Paul
