Smart Regulator

I am looking for a "Smart Regulator" to replace the original on in my 06, Dick Wright has one but it only will monitor one bank of batteries, He says to monitor the house batteries since that are the ones that will be depleted more often. Does someone make a regulator that will monitor both sets of batteries?

     Something is confused here.  A regulator doesn't monitor batteries, it controls the charging of batteries.  Similarly a monitor doesn't  charge batteries but  tells you what their state of charge is.   The ultimate battery monitor is the Xantrex Link 10, formerly known as the E'meter.   The Link 10 can tell accurately how much charge is left in house batteries, it's a great tool if you use battery power a lot.  A smart regulator will recharge your batteries faster.  If you have a good inverter/charger then you'll get fast smart charging from shore or generator.  A smart regulator  to replace the regulator on the  bus will give you faster recharge of house batteries by driving.   There  really shouldn't be any need to monitor the start batteries of the bus.  There is a cousin to the Link 10 called the Link 20 that does the same kind of monitoring on 2 sets of batteries but the  start batteries really don't need it.

If you go solar, the Blue sky charge controller has an option - the pro link that can telkl you how many amp hours you've used, and how many you have left, and if you are charging or discharge and at waht rate.  It will also tricke charge the start batteries, and tell you of their voltage, probalby all you  need to do for the starts as they have or hsould have a lot less variation.
