using a gas tank

I had a friend give me two 150 gallon gas tanks . Has anyone ever used one for their water supply and do you think I could get it clean enough?I was going to use one for waste as well grey and black.We would not be drinking the water .

That is what is in my bus. Have been for a number of years. Just have to have a good aluminum welder for all of the connections. also clean the water tank good.
