Skinning a 102C3

I am getting ready to re-skin the outside of my 102C3. My intention was to use .12 kemlite and skin it from above the cargo doors straight up to the roof line.

After Talking to the local Big Rig collision (who works on buses almost exclusively) he said that the sign board portion is rivited only at the top and the bottom, with no glue on the interior of the panel. He also said that the panel is bow'ed out during installation and if I glue the Kemlite down it would probably just breakup. He says that 102A's & B's are different and this can be done on them.

Has anyone done this on a C3?

His take was it was part of the structure, but the way this sign board is installed it seams to be more about flexability on the sign board.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Ross,

Yes, you can, and I did it on my C3 but, with some careful thought first.

I created a seam between the top of the sign board and the bottom of the window plane and used eagle moldings to cover the seam.

If you would like to call me, your welcome to!
