It's time to build some cabinets. Can someone recommend drawer slides. I think there are self closing and stay closed types.
Thanks

Try these from Blum. About $35 per drawer, but any forward or rearward facing drawers will be very secure.
You can slam them as hard as you like, they will run free until within 2-3 inches of closed, then stop and slowly crawl to full closure. You will also feel resistance when opening, until it gets an inch or so open, then rolls free.
Another thing I like about the Blum's, is that there is no hardware showing on the sides of the drawers, it's all mouted on the bottom of the drawer.

I've gotten them from Moore Industrial Hardware in the past. They have all kinds. But not sure how prices stack up.

Jerry,
I used the Mepla Alfit, Dynamic soft close slides from: http://www.udb.cc/ProductLine.aspx?product_catagory_id=3,4
I'm very pleased with them, with up to about 20 pounds in the drawer they stay closed in normal driving but fully loaded drawers still need some kind of latch.

To keep the drawers closed I make a little wedge of wood and glue it to the bottom of the drawer so that when you closeit drops behind the facing. just lift a little on the front of the drawer and you can open. Jerry

I just bought a new vanity for a new bathroom in my house.  The vanity was supposed to be the same as the rest of my cabinets in the house, but it came with upgraded drawer slides.

The drawer slides actually have mini gas cylinders in them so that the slides close on their own past a certain point.  They stay closed pretty tight.  My first thought is they would work great in the bus.  I could look up the model # and such if it will help anyone.

Sounds like Blumotion. I have 12 drawers set up with them. They are very sweet!

Belfert,
That's what the Mepla Alfit that I poted previously has, a tiny gas cylinder to slowly close the drawer.  it also has a good spring. They  close the last 2" or so by themselves and you can't slam them.
