Hey that's great! But the ash content is not the only reason to use STAIGHT 40W! The multi-viscosity oils break down too much and allow the tops of the 2 stroke pistons to overheat! Which in turn allows the pistons to burn a hole in them, crack or score the liners! FWIW!

CJ-4 is limited to a maximum 1% sulfated ash, but on the API website, the service description for CJ-4 starts with "For high-speed, four-stroke engines ... "  On the other hand the service description for CF-2 reads "For severe duty, two-stroke-cycle engines."

We'll see.  But as BK stated, there is more to the oil selection for 2 strokes than just the sulfated ash content.
