I need to remove my oil pan soon, so I'm looking for the correct gasket now.   My pan is steel, and it seems to be pressed rather than cast:  it has turned-down edges to the mounting flange, and it seems to be about 1/16" thick.   My engine number is 06VF179423, made in March 1990.

The gasket number I see listed most often is 23503588, with 5196532 also listed as an obsolete number.   Is 23503588 what I need to buy?

Thanks, John

23503588 is the correct gasket ,5196532 was a leaking cork gasket be happy that one is gone, the cast pan was only used in some industrial applications on the 8 and 6v92 fwiw the later 8v92 used a reusable silicone gasket and used a different bolt pattern with less bolts and isolators on each bolt it was good setup but I never saw it on the 6v92. I just looked at the price of the gasket that is crazy for a paper gasket

OK, many thanks!   The gasket there now looks thicker than paper, but I'll take whatever works.
