I know where the spare is...I just don't know how to access it!

Just obtained a beautiful 1995 Eagle.  Learning everything I can about it without a user manual.  I took the eagle off of the bumper and found a spare tire storage behind the bumper.

More searching revealed a disconnected air valve for the Bumper. No amount of poking or prodding seems to reveal a way to access the spare tire storage.

Welcome to the forum!.,

I only have MCI's, and for those the bottom of the bumper lifts up, albeit with a lot of strength required as it's very heavy.  One has a cable to pull which allows the bumper to be released, and a couple of gas shocks assist with the lift.  Not so much with the older MCI, where they've long since lost their lift capability.

I'm sure someone w/ Eagle knowledge will be responding soon.

You unbolt the center bumper blade, which originally had 4 square-headed bolts, behind that will be a sheet metal pan that unclips and swings down. The tire is laying flat, and you slide it straight out and down. The rectangular panel with the Eagle only accesses the air connection and the tow connection, which is for towing around the plant when being built, not towing down the highway. If the panel has a raised section, it is for the fresh air inlet for the dash, and will have a plastic baffle and hose behind it.
