proheat x45 system

just finished putting in a proheat x45in system like sledhead's and wondered what antifreeze to use?

Not really sure; but if you have a heat exchanger in the system to provide hot water then I would think RV antifreeze for the water system or food grade glycol so not to poison your fresh water.

Well I think I found the correct manual here:

If it is for heat only and plumbed into the engine it uses the same antifreeze as the engine ,if you are tied into house water system with heat exchangers then you use Propylene @$40.00 a gal,on my AquaHot I used the Propylene you could make 4 gals out of a gal of Propylene the stuff is good for 100F below 0,lol I wasn't going where it  was even 25F below 0

thank you all for the help ! my system  goes to my 11 gal water heater then a heat exchanger for more hot water then a 6 gallon water heater for a reservoir that is heated by the engine then to my toe kick heaters in the coach  . so i'm considering chemworld's boiler antifreeze . do you think it's compatible?

That is  a good price the last 5 gal I purchased of Chemworld  95% was over $200.00 3 years ago

so researching i think i need the food grade propylene glycol as the boiler antifreeze isn't food grade to protect my water system.  Then do i need the inhibited version that has the corrosion protection ? maybe someone could tell me exactly what brand and  type they used ?

Propylene glycol is non toxic you don't need the food grade ,the Aquahot,Hydrohot and Oasis manuals all say Propylene glycol no mention of food grade,if food grade makes you feel safer use it,but I have read the bottles more than once on both and cannot find a difference between the 2 except color on some food grades ,I have always used Chemworld my self ,they made it for a popular brand Camco sold at RV dealers

so it must be the corrosion protection additive that makes it toxic then?  did you just get the plain propylene glycol then ? no corrosion protection? it doesn't need it?

Propylene Glycol is not toxic.

Standard antifreeze is Ethylene glycol, which is lethal.
