Engine repaire

I have a 1994 MCI 102DL3 it has a cat 3176 engine it was supposed to  be running but that isn't the case. I had it towed to the catpeller dealer in Brusard LA  and they are not real interested  in fixing it. They quoted me 15000 and no guarantees  it will run. Does anyone live in that area that might know of someone  that would work on it I live in texas and don't know anyone  down there
