Not quite!   It's very confusing that Rolls-Royce Motorcars (now owned by BMW) is nothing whatsoever to do with Rolls-Royce Holdings that owns Rolls-Royce Power Systems (the world's second-largest aircraft engine maker after GE) that was previously called Tognum that owned MTU Friedrichshaven GmbH that owned Detroit Diesel after Penske sold them, or something like that.   Essentially, Daimler-Benz is the German company that is/was associated with MTU;  MTU's origins go way back to the days of Maybach which is still a Mercedes-Benz luxury brand.   So, if the price of Detroit parts is high and getting higher, you can't blame Rolls-Royce Motorcars for that!

Clear as mud?   Sorry!

Not just MTU.

Parts for anything mechanical are high right now, whether it's a Subaru, Toyota, or a sewing machine.

Not a Detroit part, but I recently replaced the set/resume switch for my cc. 167 plus shipping for a little toggle switch. Choke cough.
Some are called, some are sent, some just got up and went.
