Now, first off, i not completely ignorant on the subject. but there are a lot of areas that i don't understand. one of them is relays. can i use the output of one relay to trigger a second relay? are there any rules that govern situations like i mentioned earlier?

There's nothing wrong with double relays and you especially want to do it with Internet of Things/home automation interface boards as the typical onboard device relay is 10 AMP's or less.

Though with high amperage and inductive loads that include electric motors you want to drive a contactor relay instead.

You didn't mention if you wanted to do this on the house side or the bus side.

Just be sure to document what you do and why so the next owner down the line will understand it.

Not exactly sure what you are asking but the basic function of a relay is to have a control signal switch on and off another circuit. Example is you have low voltage 12v DC wire input to relay. Sending power to the 12v wire into the relay turns on the other circuit which can be totally different; in this case, it can bb 120v AC.
As to specific dual relay output, I have no experience with them, just the simple ones.

Yes, of course you can have two (or more) relays in series!   I use two relays for my foglights, so that the front foglights can only be on when the headlights are on but only on low beam.

i want to use a switch up front at the driver's console to turn on the rear marker lights and rear side lights.

Spent years working on wire spring telephone systems. The early computers with out electronics.

One relay working bunches of relays in different sequences.

A dirty contact could take days to find and correct but they never really quit.

The main reason i am bald.

What you are trying to do will allow you to have full voltage at the rear without a long wire from the front. Makes good sense.

anyone knowwhere i can find a good wiring diagram for a scenicrusier. can't seem to find my shop manual. want to find the diagram for the rear start control box. i want to order some switches so i can take control of running the bus from the front driver's seat to the rear for maintenance functions. it was there originally but you don't really want to know just how badly it had been messed up over all the years. was on the verge of major shorting out.  thanks, mike

you could copy the 4905 wiring diagram setup if little original there. I believe it is basically the same from 4104 up.
