Diesel should be around $3.50/gallon. If we get the top three criminals out of office, then the country will be on the right track.

Crypto currency seems to be not legal currency, not even a credit card. Why should there be another currency? A lot of people, on the other side of this issue, think we should bring back gold and silver backed currency, no matter how cumbersome that makes things. Can you hold a crypto coin in you pocket, even tho one of those might be worth $40,000 one day and a lot less another day...

There's plenty that both the US and Canadian administrations could have done to ensure lower priced fuel in North America. Its not like the raw material is in short supply in either country. The fact that prices are as high here as they are is 110% the fault of the current crop of nitwits in Washington, DC and Ottawa.

I have bud who does major electrical contracting and he is no longer doing any fixed price bids; but moving to material/labor billing to be paid after the fact.

The cost of electrical components like circuit breakers has gone up 60% at this point and there is no idea when they can make progress (after a nationwide conference call with a well known major brand) on the back log.

The backlog goes from the small normally household size stuff to major breakers and other electrical components for an entire building.

If you can't power it, no sense building the building. All of this is a result of the worldwide impact of Covid. He thinks it will take a decade to recover.

I needed a Bosch fuel regulator for a 944 Porsche. I was surprised that no one had it in stock. I was told Bosch ceased production due to CV19 shutdown and certain things are still not back in production.

Global trade and just-in-time supply lines leave little wiggle room for disruptions.

Covid 19 is said to be unusual in that it mutates to evade natural defenses quickly. Fortunately the mutations that spread the best are also the less deadly ones. Makes sense. Kind of hard to spread something when your dead.

And the issue of free money, causing working age young adults to stay home, mass early retirements earlier than normal, long years of low interest rates, soaring deficit....list goes on. Think of it as giving back our stimulus payments. You can't  double the minimum wage without current disastrous results. Government is running out of sandbags to hold the dice. Hang on.

Yep anyone remember the 70's-80's with way higher interest rates at 18 to 22% and fuel was high and there were gas wars at stations, food was high priced and everyone was predicting the fall of the country. I had two spec homes for sale in California with interest rates on loans way up there and had them sit for a year before I had to drop the prices to get rid of them and buy down the interest rates to do it.

So as for Washington this is nothing new next time you vote don't vote ANY of the same people in and maybe it will change.

I will never disparage anyone's pay who works an honest day and note, the minimum wage had gotten much smaller as it was never indexed to inflation.

Workers could actually afford to work for lower wages if things like the ridiculous cost of health care, the nutty cost of all forms of insurance, various fines&fees, and of course horrid student loans are put in check.

But those guys have great lobbyists compared to most business much less their employs so guess who gets to take the hit on this.

The real problem as I see it, is that politics follows the money more than ever before, and the middle class just ain't got much.

Until it does things are not likely to improve.
