MCI 102d3 Not Building Air Pressure

I have a MCI 102d3.  This past summer I removed all the OTR AC and the large AC compressor.  Because I removed the large AC compressor I also removed the belt that was driving the compressor.  Today I started the bus after a few months of sitting and every 10 seconds or so I would hear a shot of air coming from the engine compartment.  I believe the air compressor is blowing off pressure every 10 seconds and the bus isn't building up air pressure.  Can someone advise me on this issue?

Also, my power steering reservoir began spitting power steering fluid out of the top breather cap.  Is this somehow related to removing the belt that drove the ac compressor?  I need to get these two issues figured out so I can move the bus before the snow comes.  Please help!!

What's your temperature outside?

If you have moisture in places it doesn't belong, that will giv you both problems.

Have you drained the "drain daily" inside right side engine access, against the tag wheel fender during your ownership?

Any idea as to the age of the last air drier service? Purge valve stuck will block pressure build.

Had you touched the power steering at all during your tenure? Over filled, wrong fluid in there, including coolant or water...?

The joy of sorting things out as the freeze approaches... some stuff is religious mission critical for functionality when cold weather is around.

It was in the 40's yesterday.  I haven't run the bus all summer.  I did drain the inside right engine access tank.  I think the is blowing out of the air compressor on the engine.  If the air drier is still in the front between the front wheels then that is not where the air is purging so I think the air drier purge valve is working.  I have not done anything with the power steering at all, so I was surprised that fluid was spilling out.  Do you think removing the ac compressor belt caused some of these problems?  Does the air compressor in the engine compartment have a release valve that could go bad?  It blows off air every 10 seconds or so.

What is the governor on the air compressor?  Is there a way to check that part?

We haven't had below freezing yet.  However, if it was frozen what part are we talking about?  Does the air compressor have a release valve like the air dryer up front?

any water in a line freezing can cause various issues. We get posts here every year about air system problems once outside temps reach freezing.

Good point.  What do you think can cause the power steering to ooze out the top breather valve?
