Hello Fellow Busnuts,

I guess I can legally say that since today we pulled the trigger and bought a bus.

I joined this forum in the summer of 2018.

So, for over 3 years I have been learning from you.

Sincere thanks to all of you!

It is a 1997 D3.

We won't pick it up for about a month, but we are excited.

Bought a 1997 MCI 102D3 with Allison B500 on November 17, 2021 in Syracuse, NY.  Commenced living it that day and  drove it to Florida and New Mexico.  Converting as we go.  https://basicsuds.com

Is this a 40 ft bus? Single rear axle maybe?

Anyway it's a great foundation for an RV. Can't wait to see pictures. How about some details of how it's fitted out, where it comes from etc?

Jim
I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

A D3 is 40', 3 axles. What engine and transmission does it have?

The seller said it's the 12.7.  I have the Vin, is there somewhere I can check that?

I just called MCI.  They are really helpful.

They said it has the 12.7.

And he is emailing me the file on the bus so I can see all the details.

Super news! One new busnut, let's just get more to stem the tide of those sunsetting out. Now the fun really begins. FYI - it's a bit more work than surfing a busnut forum. And dirtier too. LOL

We aren't back yet.

We will fly into Denver and then The wheels will take us wherever they take us.  One of the mail reasons for the bus was that we have nowhere to be.  We are mobile.

Well, I'm not a big "Chat on forums" kind of guy.  I will ask too many questions and try to contribute where I can.
