Does anyone use this app for fuel discounts or do you know anything about it?

I downloaded the app and looked at Salt Lake City.  Sapp Bros is at $3.17 which is much cheaper than anyone else in SLC.  Costco is the next cheapest in SLC so far as I know.

I think this will be great app if it works.  It is crazy that some metro areas have no stations and other areas have a number of stations.  Sapp Bros seems to support this at most or all of their locations.

Maybe a good deal ,I am not one to stop at at the big 3 truck stops,so I use the Maverick Nitro card in the west it's good for 6 cents off and they are always cheaper than Loves,Pliot /FJ and TA even with fuel cards  plus they are rv friendly ,then other areas I use Texaco which is 6 cents off and Shell gives 5 cents off with their credit cards

I used to only fuel at the big chain truck stops.  I downloaded the Gas Buddy app a few years ago and discovered that there are almost always stations that are much cheaper than the chain truck stops.  In some cases Sam's Club or Costco is a lot cheaper than anywhere else.  Often Sam's Club and Costco have multiple locations in a metro area, but only one location has really cheap prices.

This Mudflap app seems to have prices in some areas that are substantially less than the going rate.

When I need fuel, I pull in to the most convenient station. Not worth my time, and fuel, to drive 5 miles out of the way to save a few dollars.

We more or less do the same thing but sometimes wonder how many of those few dollars we could save on the $5800.+ FL AK FL round trip fuel cost!

I can easy go 700 miles on a tank of fuel so I start looking at about the 500 mile mark or when at a 1/2 tank if I see a buy I will stop

been using gas buddy with truck. Saved quite a bit of money. They also list diesel prices. Most I get is about 33 gallons, so haven't  used my efs or whatever card. I do stop at truck pumps now to get my 4 def jugs refilled though. That has saved a bit.
Wish I'd  have gotten the gas buddy card before leaving home. Would have saved another 25 cents per gallon. Mileage has gone as low as 8 (headwind) to 13 (tailwind). So 35 gallon tank doesn't  go that far. I fill up night before or morning we leave by finding the best price for distance access. Gotta do a little mental math. Won't  spend 4.00 in fuel to save 4.50 for best price. Almost all truckstops are 40 to 50 cents higher. They do provide parking, showers, etc. so understand that.

I generally don't have to go far off the highway to use the less expensive stations.  Most of the stations on the Mudflap app are right off the highway.  When I am driving by myself I usually have more time than money so I will drive a little bit if I can save at least $10 after the cost of extra fuel.

Fuel is always cheaper off the interstate like Belfert I exit the interstate, most towns have a alternate route and I am never in a hurry plus the interstate system gets boring here in the west

some of thosesmaller towns will screw you on price, especially if few stations. Gas buddy helps there. One annoyance is max dollars capped at 75, 95, 100, 125. So have to reenter card to keep filling. Easy to go over max in CA, Or, Wa.

I was warned not to buy fuel between Las Vegas and Phoenix.  I recall seeing $3.95 for unleaded along that stretch in early May.  I wasn't planning to fill up along the way anyhow.  I filled up at a Costco in Phoenix for a real good price.

I used the Mudflap app twice now on my current trip.  Pretty easy to use, but it requires two trips to the cashier.  I used two different Sapp Bros locations.  The big downside to the app is the limited number of locations.

I use it, I also use the TSD Open Roads app.

I find they compliment each other, often times where one is thin on stations, the other has options.

One thing I like about the Mudflap app recently is the Top 10 feature.  You can quickly turn "A few dollars savings" into $30-$40 on 100 gal vs the most convenient.  For us, when doing 3000-4000 miles at a shot with the family, saving $30 a fill up adds up to extra range for the same budget or more fun and adventure where we're going.
