Yep a lot of the stuff is other peoples too lol you should see inside the shop it's full of crap people left for a few weeks that has been there for 15 years, my wife has her crap in there too.
My friend DaveC and I spent a 1/2 day throwing wood away from a conversion  :-* his wife and mine spent a day hauling the stuff back into my shop, now tools are not a problem they never go back in the shop or get put back in the tool boxes they walk away. With Gary Hatt here I gain tools he leaves his  I find his all the time

Your mention of oak reminded me of a cut glass bottle - top too with slivers of aromatic eastern cedar in it from when we lined the close closets during our conversion. It sets in a glass case. We'd been looking at it for over 40 years. One day we need to open it to smell it again! Lol

The Oak we were talking about were in a Bus Clifford and I were stripping the walls out of. 2 Sawzalls and 2 hours we had to cut the Stainless steel screws the owner used to screw in top and bottom oak 2x2 that were actually 2" by 2" in a 102D 40 footer so he could reconfigure it.

There was wiring everywhere. The girls(wives) as we would chuck them out the door to through them away, they were dragging them and carrying them and stacking them in Clifford's shop. We came out of the bus and there they all were all stacked neatly against the wall inside the shop. We look at them and then each other and just started laughing.

Dan we got some really old Western red cedar planks T & G but it did not smell. It was at a Yard sale so I bought it for 10.00. There was 60 3 foot pieces. I took them home and sanded every board and the cedar smell was like the day it was cut. Put it in the closet in the Bus. :^
