It is sorta dumb to see people wearing masks driving in a car alone,or wearing one to enter a restaurant then removing it,I wear one when required but follow the doctors order and use the 1 time use only mask he is not a big fan of masks  preventing the spread now back to our regular broadcast

Dont forget that our population is about 318 million. 433,000 deaths. Less than approx 1 percent. Still a significant number, but arond here, almost no on we know has gotten it. There was a nursing home about 20 miles from us that 85 percent were infected and several died. And we don't  hide under our bed. When I was a kid, Polio was similarly scary.

We are in a lock down here at home and that is a pain in the @$#.
All normal stores are closed but most will let you call in a order and after some time you can go there and the store puts your order in the trunk and you never get out of your car or truck . The only stores that you can go into are stores with food or drugs , no restaurants other then drive throughs . But before the lock down I did not mind wearing a mask to go in to a store and they will not let you in if you don't .
It is all a pain but then again it is better the getting covid

Can't wait for the new normal to come back and go for a drive in the coach

I think things will quickly change when  officials see the drop in tax revenue by end of April or so. It got to be bad. Although what's several trillion more or less?

I know a number of people personally who have had COVID.  One just lost his sense of smell.  Another was down pretty hard for almost a week.

The third person is a friend of mine.  He got hit hard.  He was hospitalized for over a week at Thanksgiving.  He would have been in ICU, but the ICU was full.  It has been two months now and he still can't do anything for more than four to six hours a day.  He probably won't be able to work for another six weeks.

Seems to be a larger proportion of bad cases than the flu. Plus they still don't know why.

I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

Viruses can do some really nasty things to the body, some with quite long-lasting problems. Other viruses lay dormant and reappear years later with severe symptoms. Right now, it seems like they're just beginning to get a start of understanding how this particular virus is going to affect people. However it turns out, it's something I'm trying my best to avoid.

They're all gone now, but if you could, ask a wwII veteran from the pacific theatre about malaria... they kept quiet and didn't say nothing... that crap came back over and over for the rest of their lives. Nobody gave a crap, jobs lost in the 50's and 60's... if you can't come to work, nobody cares why...

Covid has the signs of being similar, that bug is going to screw with folks for a long time, and just like the vet in the years following wwII, nobody is going to care, or want to hear about it.

The romantic notions only come when there are few enough of the doddering old souls to not matter...

How about we do something positive, and break this chain, and speak out on behalf of those poor souls who have have the long haul covid?

Happy coaching!

Lyme disease creates long term issues in some also. One problem is as we age, we come down with issues that may or may not be related to these illnesses. The lawyers will help sort it all out.🙄

When you consider that a virus replicates by essentially hijacking the host's own cells and genetic material, it's not difficult to understand why they are such ornery things to get rid of. It's also not difficult to understand why some viruses are being connected to the formation of long-last problems and even cancers.
