My Houston Metro bus had the slobber tubes plumbed to the back of the muffler.  The barbs were sort of soldered into the muffler skin and in lousy shape with oil dripping on the back of the muffler.  Messy, I never liked it.  I searched the files on BCM and many of you did the little PVC cylinder with barb taps, drain, and air vent.  I did that today for my slobber lines, mounted it on the engine rail out of the way of everything, and I spent about $25 for parts.  I try not to idle much at all, so it shouldn't catch much.  Hopefully a bit cleaner ;D

When I made mine, I used a Costco cranberry juice bottle inside the rear bumper with two nylon elbow barbs in the cap for the lines from each airbox drain;  the last few inches of each line are clear plastic so I can easily see exactly how much each side is slobbering (sorry, Geoff!).   High tech it ain't, but it does the job admirably.   I think I've got less than $5 in my setup!

If someone wants to install one, but doesn't want to make their own,Walker Air Sep makes a nice  one. Or can easily be dabbed with  a 18" section of 4 inch plastic pipe, 2 end caps, a vent and fittings and drain lines from air boxes, and a drain petcock.

I'm waiting for the grumpy "it's not a slobber tube" comments to arrive. Lol.

Also gives you and how to make one. If I had a Prevost, I would use this one instead of some home built one.😁

Seriously, oil coming out the air box drains on a 92 series is usually from weak oil control rings on the pistons.

Cracks me up y'all are so worried about a catch can. I have more oil seeping out of every other orifice, seam, and gasket on my engine than I get coming out of my airbox drains lol. Just consider it undercoating for the toad and dust control for the road.
