Trying to figure out if I have a 2 or 4 valve head, the engine is not in the bus, I have looked all over but can't find a serial number any where... :-\

To find out what my injectors are, I decided to pop off the valve cover.  Unscrew the two knobs, and it comes right off, right??   NOT!  I didn't force it, assuming its just stuck from many years, but maybe there is a secret?!

The air box drain is probably covering it on the left side under the drain,if that is a old Trailways they were on a round tag on the oil pump with Trailways numbering a  68 model will be a 4 valve head for sure

Ok sorry for the late reply...
The valve cover finally came off, It was just a matter of gently coaxing it till it broke loose from the rubber seal.
So i have the n65 injectors...  from what i have read that is 318 hp?

And no numbers anywhere, must be a railways that the tag fell off... :P
I guess i don't need the serial number after all ;D ;D ;)

BTW this engine is for sale:  http://eagles-international.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4848&sid=b0f9c47635242c52b8df39460424990c
