... The kid behind the counter insisted that he had to have make & model to look it up on the computer. He refused to go look on the shelf for the headlights. Unbelievable that he didn't know where they kept headlights. 

     Yeah, unbelievable but common.  The big NAPA down the street from my bus storage lot had a Hispanic guy working there - maybe mid-50s.  He didn't have enough English to carry on a real conversation but I'd bring in any part or describe what I needed, or maybe draw a sketch on the back of an envelope -- then he'd disappear into the huge warehouse in the back and come right back with exactly what I needed. 
     I haven't seen him there in a year or two.      A kid with a computer was probably cheaper.
