Since DD no longer publishes performance curves for the two strokes on their website, does anybody have the DD performance curves for the 8v92?  I am considering changing the rear end ratio from 3.21 to ? but I would like to see the BSFC, brake specific fuel consumption, for a 500hp 8v92 before I make any changes.  Also, I am interested in charts for hp and torque vs rpm.  I would like to determine if it is cost effective to make the change.  I have a DDEC II electronically controlled engine. Hi Augerdogger,

Welcome to the board!

Any luck with finding this information?  Seems like someone here should have this info ...  :)

I have that information, but I'm not allowed to advertise it on this board.
I also agree with this policy.
When MAK makes the new policy for the advertising up, it will be better.

Hi Dallas, I agree with it also -  ;D

Can you educate some of the bus newbies -especially - such as myself what is actually being asked here?

Or is it better offline?

I freely acknowledge my lack of knowledge in this area!

Have you tried posting your request on the DD board?   Someone there knows where to find the data you're looking for.
Their address is: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/DetroitDiesel/
They have quite a lot of knowledgeable DD 2 stroke guys....may want to avoid reference to a "bus."
The group requires membership, but if you own a DD 2 cycle, it may be a good idea to join.  You can "unjoin," or read email on the web site, once you find what you're looking for.
A guy has been asking all sorts of abstract questions related to a bus powerplant, and they seem to be a little sketchy about such things.  Great site for "real" DD 2 stroke questions.

I also welcome you Augerdogger,

Sorry for my lack of knowledge in this area also.

I'm sure Dallas knows something I don't!

But, Welcome anyway, I'm sure one of our members can answer your question
