Interior demo in progress

Took out the coach lighting, all except the front 2 captains chairs(need a place to rest), the bathroom door and 2 walls.
I am stunned at the quality wood they built these walls out of. Was all I could do to drag them out of the bus. Heaviest, most dense plywood Ive ever seen.
Im down to the stainless steel toilet/sink unit..Not quite sure how to get that out. Am I going to be left with a big hole in the corner if/when I get it out? Was about to get the sawzall after it when I ran out of daylight and energy yesterday

The walls are only half the job. I made good use of a grinder with a cutting wheel.

grinder and a air chisel and a lot of time . I think they built the bus around the crapper

Thanks guys. It looked to me like I was gonna have to cut it up. Thanks for confirming that as my only option.

I have a 102A3 and the toilet/sink assembly came out as one. Had to remove the mirror and a bunch of trim pieces and I believe the floor pan as well before it came. The floor pan was put in before the plywood so there is a lip that goes under the plywood floor. That part was a pain. Other than that, the only hole I had was the actual toilet part and where the plumbing comes and goes. The tank under the toilet was held in by 2 straps (one front one back) that each had 2 bolts in the frame per strap. If you have a maintenance manual you should get an exploded view of everything that is installed. I attached a picture of mine for reference if useful at all

Thanks jraynor----the manual I have is a reprint of a 1989 mci---not sure how much I trust it for my 81 model...Did it actuallyfit out the door after you got it out in 1 piece?
That'll be this weekends project

Yes it did. Best to have 2 people but I handled it myself. I actually cut it up by the sheets to reuse the stainless in other places. Reuse is the best price to pay

Don't forget you can throw stuff out the windows! I had to put the fridge in through a window. It did take 3 people, though.

This is always the fun way lol. I used this method just hours ago to throw out the floor plywood

OH MY GOD!!!!
140+ rivets in a 10 x 3 ft piece of metal...
I am again so impressed and dismayed at the quality workmanship that went in to building this thing 38 yrs ago..
I can only hope the walls I put back in are half as tough as what Im tearing out...
